Bear and breakfast may sound like one of the wackiest games, but please bear with us (pun intended) as it has all of the attributes required to become the best independent game released this year. This GGMania guide will look at one of the most promising games of the year.

Described is a laid back management adventure game, Bear and Breakfast is a play on words and revolves around playing the character of a bear who is running his own bed and breakfast hotel. You play as Hank the bear and, along with your friends, discover an abandoned shack deep in the woods. It's your mission to customise the shack into your very own B&B.

First thing is first though, you must build your bed and breakfast hotel so that your guests - which consists of other woodland animals) are happy and satisfied with their stay. The beauty of this game is that you can deeply customise each and every room from its size and layout to the furniture and fixtures. It seems that 100 people could easily play this game and their B&Bs would all be completely different from one another.



The developers behind Bear and Breakfast are Armor Game Studios. Our hope is that there will be a variety of different animal guests all with their own unique characteristics and expectations of their hotel stay. Even better will be if each character has their own name too and, if they are satisfied, will become repeat customers. Depth in a game like this is important - so fingers crossed the developers have been able to implement such depth.

We have learned that players will be able to complete time-line based objectives, and storylines in a world rich in lore, side quests, characters and secrets. Here’s a pre-release hint - ensure that you talk to each and every character you encounter, you never know who and how they may help you.
