Xbox One X, the first true 4K video game console, is launching worldwide today. While the Xbox One X is an expensive box, from a hardware standpoint, you're getting a very powerful and capable machine. You'll be hard pressed to build a comparably powerful PC for $500. On top of that, you get a 4K HDR Blu-ray player, wh

I can make a 500$ PC that will run 4K @30fps with low/med settings. Just like that ShitBox One X
edit: I can't put BRPlayer inside though, but if you insist on having redundant tech, I could put a CDRW and a floppy drive. |

| Man you two are so superior! One using a tired old cliché proven wrong theory he can build a gaming pc of quality for 500 and the other that is so dumb he doesn't realize 100's of stores selling console games on disk. |

Well can consoles:
- Make you money via productivity s/w or do day-to-day tasks a PC can?
- Have remotely the same inventory of games a PC has?
- Be modular/scalable so when new tech comes be upgradable like a PC?
- Have almost any kind of removal media connectable like a PC?
- Be repairable so you can garnish parts if required quick like a PC?
Consoles have their place as mundane entertainment boxes (at the cottage on a rainy day) but I can do 10x more on a PC/Laptop which means REAL WORLD WORK AND CASH for me while also being a mid/high-end gaming experience. Consoles don't remotely have that flexibility: never will. |

A console is great for my kids, myself is having a PC. :)
But honestly XboX one X? I imagine how desperate the people at MS were, when trying to find a name for this thing.
"Sony is doing PS1,2,3,4, that's shit! We are better, so we will have a better name! Who would name a console X1,2,3,4? *sniffing a line of cocaine* We need more X! XBoX One X! That's it! Great!"
Poor. Stay simple, skip that stupid naming marketing annoyancy. But MS is having fun with that kind of shit. |

Indeed... let the "grown ups" have the PC and use the console for mindless brain-fart entertainment during a snowy day.
Now if only they'd dev the game FIRST for the PC then dumb-it-down for the consoles. Pretty gawd damn insulting seeing the supposed UP-PORT from console->PC when its quite evident the game should have been shown much better first on superior specs THEN drop it down for the mini-PCs.. err.. consoles. |
