If DLSS 5 delivers what NVIDIA is promising, it could be a pretty significant step forward for real-time graphics. The interesting part is that AI is no longer just being used for upscaling—it’s becoming part of the rendering pipeline itself, helping create visuals that would otherwise require much more hardware power.
That said, the real test will be how it performs in actual games. Features like this always look impressive in demos, but things like image quality, latency, artifact handling, and developer implementation will determine whether it becomes a true industry shift. Still, the direction is fascinating—graphics rendering is clearly moving toward a hybrid approach where traditional rendering and AI work together. |
