Wow I should press charges against Sony too, I still have a few bucks in my account that I can't or haven't found anything to spend it on. Must be artificially inflating their profits too! For that matter, I should press charges against some local game stores too since my card still has money on it too and I haven't had anything to use it up with. Damn! Everyone is cheating us.
There's one single word to describe the fraud charge against MS.
NONSENSE. |

Actually I was going to say that Microsoft are clearly not the only ones who do this. Shops love to sell gift cards, because they know only a certain percentage of them will ever have their full amounts claimed. There is really no good reason I can think of to add this 'middle step' into transactions other than taking advantage of the inevitable economic inefficiency it creates.
People think to themselves "Oh I still $12.93 left in my Paypal account, what can I get for that?" They don't say to themselves (most of the time) "Hey shit, I should move my change into my bank account where I can get interest on it instead of Paypal getting interest on it." For example. |
