Hide Cursor While Making Plays
When you're on the play selection screen, you can hide the cursor so others can't see the play you choose. To do this, highlight the upper-left play (where the cursor is before you move it), then press Up on the Control Stick twice to hide the cursor.

Skip first quarter and third quarter intermissions:
Hold Z + A + B at the end of the first or third quarters.
Win by losing:
Select season mode and intentionally lose a game by 130 points. Your loss will be counted as a win. Note: This may not be done in a playoff game.
Quarterback view:
Select a passing play, jump out of bounds, and pass the ball when out.
Touch back:
Catch the ball in the end zone, then run and jump out one of the sides. Your player cannot leave the end zone and run back in and jump out. If he does it is a Safety for the other team.
Hint: Helpful tips:
Use the following list of dos and don'ts to help your game.
Do pass to a receiver with no blockers around him for about five yards to gain major yards.
Don't pass to a receiver that is near the end of the end zone or near the sidelines; you are likely to go out of bounds and it will not count.
Do use the spin move when needed.
Don't use the spin move more than two times in a row; you are likely to fumble the ball when someone tackles you. Use the stiff arm to decrease the chances of fumbling.
Do run up to a guy to tackle him. Why? Read on...
Don't jump at a guy to tackle him unless you are really close to him or else he will jump away.
Do use the Sub-Zero play when you are desperate for a firstt down or attempting to get two points after a touchdown. Run over to the side where there are not many players using the QB for a 1st down. For two points, the AI gets tougher so when the ball is hiked, back up a little then pass to the receiver closest to you (the one on the far right), then run into the end zone using your turbo.
Don't use a passing play on a fourth down unless you are a skilled passer.
Do use the Dog Hook play and pass to the man on the upper left corner to gain yards (just as long as he's open and away from the sideline).
Don't pass to anyone else while using the Dog Hook play or else -- can you say "Interception"?
Do try to knock the receiver out of the way so he does not catch the ball.
Don't try to jump in front of him because six times out of ten, you will not catch the ball. Why? It is not that easy to intercept.
Do try to go for the sack before going for the pass interference; always go for the sack during a field goal.
Don't even think about trying to go for the sack during a punt. Just go out and catch the ball instead; if the ball goes out of bounds, that yard line it lands on is where it will played (even if it is right in front of the end zone), but it will be played on the 20 yard line if it goes out of bounds in the end zone. Besides, you will not catch him if you try to sack during a punt.
Hint: Avoid fumbles:
Do not use the spin move when other players are right next to you.
Hint: Cause more fumbles:
Wait until your opponent's turbo is all the way down, then hit them at full speed with turbo to increase the changes for a fumble.
Hint: Easy yardage:
Go to page 2 in the plays to find the "Da Bomb" play. Use this play to get an easy first down or a last second touchdown. When using this play, walk backwards when you hike the ball and press C-Down to have the quarterback jump. This will help avoid sacks and will him throw farther.
Hint: Easy 90 rating at the end of the season:
Run the ball most of the time and get good runs. Pass every once in a while, but try to limit your play selection to runs.
Hint: Always be on offense:
Use the onside kick. When you kick, charge the ball with turbo. The ball is usually jarred loose and recovered by the kicking team.
